An international commodities trading firm who have recently appointed one of the most formidable leaders in the energy industry to spearhead a £10bn overhaul of the organisation to accomplish the firm’s mission to secure natural gas and power supplies for Europe via their international trading desk.

The trading division are searching for a Commodity Trader with experience managing client relationships and work with Portfolio Managers to execute client trades.

You will be responsible for entering trades for spot and OTC Natural Gas, Fuels, Clean Energy and Carbon Credits, with an aim to grow client trading volume, and increase EBITDA.

On-target earnings: £75-100k

Responsibilities:

• Expand European natural gas, electricity and clean energy trading flows
• Manage algorithmic trading positions
• Execute trades for clients while maintaining a high level of data accuracy
• Work with portfolio managers to improve EBITDA
• Support the design and development of a best-in-class deal capture system
• Provide market intelligence to sales teams and external customers
• Consult the sales team on strategies to improve revenues and increase market share across all
• relevant products and locations

Requirements:

• Experience executing trading positions
• Excellent knowledge of commodity OTC & Futures hedging and flow trading.
• Knowledge of pricing and structuring derivatives (Futures, forwards, swaps, options)
• Knowledge of Natural Gas, Power or Emissions markets will be advantageous
