Responsibilities:

• Handle a wide range of complex competition litigation cases, including antitrust investigations, cartel cases, abuse of dominance claims, and merger control matters.
• Conduct in-depth legal research, analyse relevant case law and statutes, and prepare well-reasoned legal opinions.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents with precision and clarity.
• Collaborate with senior associates and experts to develop robust litigation strategies and case theories.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and negotiations, and effectively advocate their interests.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including economists and industry experts, to build strong cases.
• Stay updated on competition law developments, both domestically and internationally, and assess their implications for ongoing cases.
• Provide strategic advice and guidance to clients on competition law compliance and risk management.

Requirements:

• Admission to the Bar of England and Wales, with an active practicing certificate.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom without sponsorship.
• Completion of a 2 year training contract in a reputable law firm.
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in competition litigation.
• Outstanding academic background, with a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution.
• Expertise in competition law, with a deep understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and case law.
• Proven track record of handling complex competition litigation cases.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal arguments clearly and convincingly.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting and analysis.
• Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
