Financial Services Regulatory Associate

An international law firm in Paris are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Associate to join their Financial Services Regulatory Division in the Paris office.

As a member of our team, you will work alongside highly skilled attorneys and professionals who are dedicated to providing excellent legal services to our global banking clients.

Responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice on a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues relating to financial services, including but not limited to banking, securities, insurance, and investment management
• Conducting legal research and analysis on relevant laws, regulations, and policies
• Drafting legal memoranda, presentations, and other legal documents
• Assisting in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and applications
• Reviewing and analyzing contracts, agreements, and other legal documents for compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Assisting in the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies
• Providing support in regulatory investigations and enforcement actions
• Building and maintaining relationships with clients and other stakeholders
• Keeping up-to-date with regulatory developments and changes in the financial services industry

Requirements:

• A law degree from a top university, and admission to the French Bar
• Experience in financial services regulatory law, gained at a top-tier law firm, financial institution, or regulatory agency
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to explain complex legal issues in simple terms
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities
• Fluency in French and English is required, and knowledge of any additional language is an advantage
• A proactive and collaborative approach to working in a team-based environment
