Established Hedge Fund
An established hedge fund is looking to add an Energy Derivatives Trader to its Houston team, with a focus across US power and natural gas.
This is a genuine risk-taking seat. The fund is looking for someone with a strong track record who wants the freedom to trade, develop their own ideas and be properly rewarded for the P&L they generate.
Competitive base + a meaningful % of the book P&L.
The role
- Trade US power and natural gas derivatives
- Develop your own fundamental, relative value and directional strategies
- Trade across futures, options, spreads, basis, FTRs and related products
- Own your risk and P&L
- Work with an experienced trading team while having the freedom to develop your own book
- Identify new opportunities across the US energy markets
Who we’re looking for
My client is interested in traders who have a strong track record trading power and/or gas derivatives.
You don’t need to have traded every product or ISO. We’re more interested in your ability to generate revenue, market understanding and ability to generate ideas.
If you’ve built a profitable book and are looking for a platform where you can have more ownership and participate directly in the upside, this could be worth a conversation.
