Please note, these roles are not remote. We are working with teams who are hiring across Denmark, candidates must be available to work full time onsite.

We’re partnering with several proprietary trading firms and energy trading businesses that are expanding their European power trading capabilities and looking to hire experienced Futures Quant Traders.

The opportunities are focused on building and executing systematic strategies across European power futures, with a particular focus on Prompt and forward curve markets.

The roles:

  • Build and execute systematic strategies across European power futures
  • Trade Prompt and forward curve markets across key European power regions
  • Research market behaviour and identify trading opportunities
  • Develop, backtest and optimise quantitative strategies
  • Build signals and models around spreads, curves, seasonality and market relationships
  • Execute strategies in live markets and monitor performance
  • Work closely with traders, quants and developers across the full research to execution process
  • Take ownership of strategy performance and contribute directly to PnL

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in quantitative, systematic or futures trading within European power
  • Strong understanding of European power futures markets
  • Experience across Prompt and/or curve trading
  • Strong Python skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical background
  • Experience with statistical modelling, backtesting, and signal development
  • Commercial understanding of European power markets
  • Proven ability to turn quantitative research into live trading strategies

Depending on the opportunity, there is scope for significant strategy ownership, access to strong technology and data infrastructure and the ability to directly influence the trading book.
