A Dublin-based energy business is seeking an intraday power trader with experience trading around physical assets. The role calls for someone who can recognise market opportunity while accounting for the operational position behind it.
The Role
- Trade power close to delivery in response to market and asset developments.
- Monitor forecasts, positions and changes in asset availability.
- Identify opportunities while respecting operational and risk constraints.
- Work with colleagues involved in dispatch, optimisation and analytics.
- Review outcomes and improve trading decisions and processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in intraday power trading or asset optimisation.
- A practical understanding of how physical positions affect trading decisions.
- Strong analytical and commercial judgement.
- The ability to respond clearly and calmly as conditions change.
