Global Proprietary Trading Business
We’re working with a Copenhagen-based trading business seeking a quantitative power trader for its intraday desk.
This is a front-office opportunity for someone who understands short-term price formation and wants to use data and trading tools to act on opportunities as markets move towards delivery.
The Role
- Develop and execute trading ideas across European intraday power markets.
- Analyse market data and fundamental signals to identify short-term opportunities.
- Test and refine strategies, including how they perform in live trading.
- Work with quantitative and technology colleagues to improve decision-making and execution.
- Manage positions and risk in a fast-moving market.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in European intraday power trading or quantitative power strategy development.
- Strong analytical skills and a practical understanding of market behaviour close to delivery.
- The ability to explain how you test an idea, assess its risks and measure its performance.
- Coding or model-building experience would be advantageous.
Why join?
This is a chance to work for a global proprietary trading business with a strong tech stack and advanced team, with scope to contribute ideas rather than simply operate an existing strategy.
