Established Energy Trading Business
Charles Levick is working with an established energy business looking to strengthen its US gas origination capability.
This is a senior commercial role for someone who can create opportunities through their market relationships, structure transactions that work for both parties and take deals through to execution. You will work closely with traders to understand where new supply, customer relationships and structured agreements can add value.
The role
- Originate and negotiate natural gas transactions with producers, suppliers, customers and other market participants.
- Develop commercial opportunities across physical supply, marketing and structured agreements.
- Build relationships with counterparties and identify opportunities that broaden market access.
- Work with trading, risk, legal and operations teams to assess and execute deals.
- Bring market intelligence and commercial ideas that contribute to trading performance.
What we’re looking for
- Significant experience in US natural gas origination, trading, marketing or business development.
- A track record of sourcing, structuring and closing complex commercial transactions.
- Strong knowledge of gas market fundamentals and the physical energy value chain.
- An established network and the credibility to develop senior counterparty relationships.
- The commercial judgement to balance opportunity, execution and risk.
- Experience spanning natural gas liquids or other energy products would be useful, but the priority is a strong gas origination track record.
