US Energy Trading Business
Charles Levick is working with a US energy business seeking a natural gas originator with strong regional market knowledge and a track record of turning customer relationships into executable deals.
You will identify commercial opportunities across physical gas supply, transportation and storage, then work with trading and internal stakeholders to structure agreements that create value for the customer and the wider portfolio.
The Role
- Build a pipeline of natural gas origination opportunities and take transactions from initial discussion through negotiation and execution.
- Structure term supply, sales, transportation, storage and other physical gas agreements.
- Develop relationships with customers and counterparties in your areas of market expertise.
- Use your knowledge of regional fundamentals, pipeline flows and infrastructure constraints to spot opportunities.
- Work closely with trading, credit, risk, legal and contracts teams to assess and close deals.
What we’re looking for:
- At least seven years’ relevant experience in natural gas origination, marketing or trading.
- Established relationships in one or more US gas markets, particularly the Midwest, Northeast, Texas or Gulf Coast.
- Experience structuring commercial transactions involving physical gas, transportation or storage.
- A strong grasp of regional supply and demand, pipeline dynamics and customer needs.
- The ability to negotiate complex agreements and move opportunities through to completion.
- Working knowledge of NAESB agreements; familiarity with ISDA documentation would be useful.
